The Bottom Line was a unique venue, a real club, without the folksiness of The Bitter End, or the crowd crushing of the Fillmore . The most popular music artists of the 70s and 80s loved playing there, and those of us lucky to go, loved being there.

When I lived back East I attended the club 96 times. It was the best music venue there ever was - nothing else comes close!

The Bottom Line should be recognized for its excellence as a performing arts venue. A simple search of artists who performed there is suggested. As a performer who played there numerous times myself, I can attest to the pride I have in being amongst that number. Ask anyone who did, and whose professional lives were changed there.

I worked on the stage crew there in '87 and attended many shows with friends after that. Great people to work with, especially Allen Pepper. Some of my best memories of my time living in NYC. It should always be remembered as an important cultural landmark.

I saw many amazing shows here including Ray Baretto, Jennifer Warnes, David Sanborn, Alison Krause, John Stewart, Jonathan Edward’s, and David Cassidy. I even sang “Teenager In Love” ONSTAGE with the great Dion DiMucci. The Bottom Line was The venue to see important musical artists in NYC.
