Attending shows at The Bottom Line was an important part of my life during the last two years I lived in The Village before moving west. Those two years also happened to be the first two years of The Bottom Line’s historic run - 1974 & ‘75. My subsequent return trips back home to New York also often included memorable shows at The Bottom Line over the years. It was truly a venue like no other - sorely missed!

I love this place and would go there all the time. I saw so many incredible acts there and one of the most moving shows was right after 9/11 when a free show was put on to honor the fireman. Over 20 acts played that night!

The Bottom line, Stanley + Alan, presented music and experiences impactfully, which has been well documented, and that will be remembered by it’s patrons and musicians as long as they live and in so doing they shaped the history and trajectory of music/art for generations to come around the world.
A shrine or at least a street naming is an appropriate action.

This was a historic venue. It should not be lost to history, rather, it deserves to be honored and remembered forever. I saw more than a few artists there, and have many fond memories. I think a plaque is the very least the city could do to preserve the historical importance of The Bottom Line.
