Taxes are already too high. This size of increase is unheard of. At the proposed rate my annual tax would be $4000 per year. That’s literally 1/3 of my mortgage payment. Ridiculous. For that kind of tax burden I may as well move to Shawnee county. Get a lot more for a similar amount.

We are retired and living off of SS. We want to stay in our home as long as we can. We don't need higher taxes to eat our income up. Taxes are already unreal.
