My HOA consistently raises prices and the only Services it provides is cutting grass. Why am I paying just under $1,000 a year for grass to be cut? They're justification is that they'll need the money for the future.

HOAS have to much power. No accountability

We are moving because our H O A will not protect our property value against neighbors who planted 25 ft trees 3 feet apart & 1 foot frim our fence. We are loosing our lake view, our sunshine, plants & grass. The roots will eventually uproot our fence. We got no help , support or anything from the H O A. There is no view regulation, no invasive tree list & no proper planting guidelines. We pay $230 per month for our HOA.

HOA's are out of control. They operate like the mob and they should be illegal.

I live one of the largest Developer controlled HOA's in Idaho. The Developer had majority control of the board and would not follow the HOA controlling documents. He finally gave up control only when facing potential litigation for a homeowner.

As someone living in a 55+ HOA community, I think updating the Idaho HOA laws and enforcement of rules and can sometimes jeopardize homeowners' investments is important.

My HOA is telling me now after living here for over 9 months and not being in cc&r's that my permanent lighting needed to come down only because 1 neighbor complains DAILY and she only complains DAILY because we have a court ordered protection order and she does not have 1 against us she tried but was denied. I drove around our sub and phase 2 and there was 27 homes with permanent lights I will not be taking mine down

I am signing because my HOA is aware two homeowners built fences encroaching across the common areas so they could increase their back yards size. The HOA is aware of this and refuses to do anything about it.

I have a neighbor a couple of doors down from me who works for the developer and does not maintain his front yard, which is definitely the worst on our streeet.

HOAs are taking our money in the form of monthly dues and not abiding by the CCRs. They are doing nothing

Because my HOA cost me $7000 dollars in legal fees. For something that was approved. Also my neighbors did the exact same thing. Very corrupt with no consequences.

My developer embezzled all of our reserve funds and will not hand over control of the HOA, so maintenance projects cannot get done, contracts cannot be signed, etc because there is no HOA board to make decisions for the community.

Homeowners are not protected from HOA Boards who enforce the CC&Rs unfairly, not being the same for all homeowners. Boards do not always follow the Idaho State Laws. The only way a homeowner can make a board follow is for that homeowner to pay out of their own pocket to hire a lawyer. Something has to be done.

No accountability with developer and HOA management during development phase. Escalating dues. Oppressive CCR's and monetization of the entire HOA model. Makes homeowners de facto renters.

As a homeowner, I currently under the HOA CCRS, cannot paint my own home. I have had zero response from the HOA boards over the years to get anything done under the CCRs to my own property but am expected to pay HOA dues every month.

We need to show our legislators that citizens living in HOA's are serious in understanding the need for meaningful HOA law reform.

HOAs in Idaho control millions of dollars, paid by homeowners but assessed and collected by others who often are not elected by the homeowners. In many cases HOA boards operate without adequate transparency, accountability, or proper regulation.
