We are seeing much more traffic going through the village now as the main roads get cloged up with road works and the sheer weight of addtional cars on the road network. the village is also well used by walkers, cyclist and horse riders. It has a 30mph through the main part of the village but not the roads leading into the village. these roads are NSL and need to be reduced

It is a narrow country road with horse riders, dog walkers, children and the elderly walking There is no pavement, bends, and very little verge. It is not safe for cars to travel at 60 miles an hour.

Cars and motor bikes are going to fast through the village it should be 30 from Ersham Road and out to Westham and Stone Cross.. we have Horses and dog walkers and sometimes chickens And more importantly children on bikes .let alone Ducks And morehouse and other wild life

Speed of traffic increasingly cutting through the village is dangerous. Footpaths have been eroded due to cars taking avoiding action. There is a primary school, but parents can't be encouraged to park further away as the footpaths are no longer safe to walk down with push chairs, etc. Cyclists and horse riders are also put in danger as the bends in the roads mean visibility is poor. School children, farm traffic, horses, narrow, bendy lanes with poor footpaths and speeding cars = accident

Hankham Village is a dense community surrounded by single track roads with very few pavements. The pavements that do exist are too narrow. The village has substantial road use from pedestrians, bicycles, and animals (dogs / cats / horses / and other wildlife) that are at risk every day due to motorists who are driving dangerously. The roads have very poor visibility due to tight corners and dense vegetation throughout.
The entire village should be re-classed to 20mph.

Hankham is a small village with some single track roads and very few pavements. The national speed limit applies which makes it very dangerous for pedestrians, horses and cyclists. The speed limit needs to be changed to 20 or 30 miles an hour as soon as possible.

People drive far too fast around here. There are no pavements and people regularly walk, cycle or horse ride. People use it as a cut through from Hailsham and drive too fast

Because there is far too much traffic coming through the village at far too fast a speed. I have lived here for 34 years and the amount of traffic is probably three times what it was when we first moved here, mainly due to people using the lane as a rat run to avoid increasingly long queues at Stone Cross traffic lights
