When Beruff first applied for the permit to develop the site, he was not forthcoming with truths about his plans. His renderings were misleading and amateurish. At that time his plan was to build a marina with access to Sarasota Bay via a ditch he wanted to dredge through sensitive waters. I believe he cares less about our environment, and much more about his income.

Science is clear on the need of wetlands for the health of our invaluable water resources. Destroying wetlands for short term commercial gain disregards all the evidence of the harm that will occur over the long term to Sarsdota Bay.

The insanity of selling out our planet and her protected & precious resources should not be up for sale to the highest bidder. If they will approve the sale of land and animals, they will also approve the sale of you & your wellbeing to the highest bidder while they remain protected. Please deny the application.

Not to mention the seawall (I don't care what he calls it that's what it is) would potentially redirect surge in a storm, putting everything north and south of it in danger of flooding. Bayshore Gardens, Trailer Estates, IMG, and Cortez Village to name a few.

We need to protect our wetlands. This shouldn’t even be a question. Look at all of the flooding that has taken place. Wetlands serve a purpose and should not be ignored.

Save the mangroves and stop letting developers destroy our wetlands. We need these estuaries our wild life needs these estuaries. SAVE THE KITCHEN FROM DESTRUCTION!!!!
