I signed this petition because I believe it is deeply unfair that Iranian people, cultured, educated, and highly capable individuals, are being prevented from taking Pearson examinations that are essential for their education, professional careers, migration, and broader academic and professional development.

For many Iranians, having recognized language certificates like IELTS or TOEFL matters a lot, especially when planning to study or work abroad. With recent changes stopping these exams locally, the need feels even more urgent. These tests open doors to education, careers, and immigration opportunities. Without access to them, many feel like another barrier is rising.

I'm an iranian who had to take IELTS for my MA at uk, back then ielts hot banned in iran and for us who already reserved it, we were not sure if it would be canceled until the last minute, these tests are the only path for some of us to get closer to our dreams, I still remember how stressful it was. Students spend years of studying English and alot of recourse just to get this chanc3 and it being taken away will make alot of talented people lose their chances to change their lives.

Cancelling or disrupting PTE is deeply unfair to the thousands of people who have spent months studying, preparing, spending money, and planning their futures around this exam. People have made important life decisions based on this opportunity, and for many, PTE is not just an exam—it is a pathway and a small but very important hope for a better future. Conflicts and tensions between governments should not be allowed to completely disrupt the lives and dreams of ordinary people who have worked.

Denying Iranians access to international language exams based solely on nationality is discriminatory and contrary to the principles of equality and human rights. Nationality should never be a barrier to education, progress, and equal academic opportunities.
