Speeding cars there have sometimes been dangerous when we visited

This is a request from neighbors who live along or near the street. Their needs should take priority over the convenience of pass through drivers. We need safer streets. Please respond to their concerns and suggested improvements.

As noted by many, too many cars speed down Woodland Park Avenue North too fast and it is not safe and should be dealt with.

I agree that Woodland Park needs additional speed bumps leading to the narrowed lanes.

Speed bumps are great at making streets safer.

The road narrowing effort looks horrible and significantly reduced visibility. I feel more unsafe as a driver and as a pedestrian because we can't see around the beams and parked cars. The road narrowing was a fail as it caused significant damage to so many vehicles in just 4 months. Remove the road narrowing and put in speed bumps and stop signs. The roundabouts have also become dangerous to pedestrians and cars and drivers barrel around them.

Because it was a gross error to spend all that money and not do the one thing that could’ve slowed down traffic properly without taking out all of the parking and making the neighborhood look ugly. Don’t stop at putting in speed bumps. Take out all those curbs and all that loading zone garbage while you’re at it. Don’t fall into the sunken cost fallacy. You screwed up royally, it’s not too late to make it right.

We need further improvements to Woodland Park Ave to make sure it's safe for local pedestrians and residents like myself. Cars are still going way too fast, speeding to get ahead of pedestrians and then slamming on their breaks right before the speed bumps. Drivers also now treat the road like a one-way/one-lane road in their direction of travel.

As a senior and an always pedestrian (I don't drive anymore), I feel safer crossing Woodland Park Ave N when it is not being used as an "arterial", with faster cars. Speed bumps slow traffic down such that they are able to see pedestrians, and slow down for them.

The improvements on Woodland Park have been very useful, but not sufficient to make the street truly safe. Ideally we would have traffic calming all the way from Bridge to 50th, with stop signs at the major arterials (Bridge, 40th, 45th, 46th, 50th). There also needs to be a stop sign at 43rd so that the Greenway on 43rd can be extended to Woodland Park, and then to the 41st pedestrian overpass at Aurora.

Speeds leading into the narrow area still high and at times it feels like a game of chicken going through the narrow area. Slowing down into the narrow earlier should help.

Drivers continue to drive dangerously on woodland park ave

The street is becoming a race track for fast cars that were never meant for city streets.

Drivers still reach high speeds along this street and the existing traffic calming does little to slow them down. We also need crosswalks at the T intersections to make this street safer.

Um, yes? What the city did with woodland park Ave is crazy. I’ve heard that neighbors cars have been “totaled” as a result of the change in the road. Speeds haven’t slowed at all. Ok, maybe speed-bumps… My thought to address the situation initially. People still use Allen as a cut through to get up to Aurora. However, the parking spaces loss needs to be addressed. Shame the city spent so much for an unsound solution.

Safety. Cars are speeding up after leaving the present speed bumps to make up for the lost time slowing down so it is making it more dangerous. More speed bumps needed and other ways to make them slow down on residential streets and take Stone Way instead.

I suggest removing the parallel parking between 42nd and 43rd and changing it to angle parking also.

I am signing because people barrel south from 46th o Woodland park N. We also need soemthing done at corner of 43rd N & Woodland Park n because car drivers going west from 43rd to turn either right or left CAN NOT see around the cars north or south because of th ejutted out design which obstructs our vision. YOu NEED stop signs at the corners.
