I have a daughter and would be enraged if this happened to her.

As a NW alumni this makes me so sick! Shame on the district for sweeping it under the rug.

I am signing this petition because my children were a victim of this abuse.

I am signing this petition because I live in the district with a young child who is not yet at school age. As a father of a daughter and a parent in this community who is observing everything as it unfolds with this egregious situation, I would never stand idly by while my daughter was victimized or otherwise mistreated by ANYONE. These children are the parents children and not the property of the school or the government. I believe the school has done a very poor job with this entire ordeal.

Because under no circumstance should a child be asked to lift up their shirt

Is it not okay for administrative staff to stop/interrupt the school day in order to sexually assault students in the form of physical body search unconsented to by student or parent. That is ASSAULT AND SHOULD BE CHARGED AS SUCH.

I was sexually assaulted freshman year of highschool. I did not attend northwestern but know people who do and I don’t take any assault lightly. The kids never deserved that over a phone and the trauma these students went through is so unnecessary and just shows how leadership can fail BUT still get away with it and quite frankly I AM OVER IT.

My grandchildren go to that school and they should never be afraid of the staff that work there.

I recently moved my children from this school district because of another matter involving a teacher. My oldest daughter is in 7th grade and started the school year there. This is disgusting.

I do not believe that an exhaustive fair thorough INDEPENDENT investigation was done and their response was vague and clearly prepared by their attorney in which all relevant information was omitted Safford VS Redding 2009 —- if “imminent risk” was involved we deserve to know what that was and the reason behind doing it the way they did

I am grandmother to two of the students directly affected by this. Surely this needs to be pursued further.

Northwestern is a joke and so isn’t their faculty. Always has had hypocrites in position of power as well as creepy teachers.

My 13 year old granddaughter was made to lift her shirt to her bra in a room mixed with other students, male and female. She was incredibly embarrassed and felt “gross and disgusting” after! What about the kids that already have trauma from abuse etc. that could reignite PTSD! It was an infringement of their rights.

Regardless of any policy the man still walked into a room and exposed himself to children by lifting his own shirt. No matter what else is determined THAT is actionable. So if you explain away the event you are still left with an adult exposing himself to students. More than one way to skin a cat.

Inappropriate behavior. Asking girls to lift their shirts up to search for a phone.

Fourth amendment rights were violated kids made to lift shirts and pull clothes tight in front of others. This is disgusting.

This was an act of misuse of power, violation of rights, improper search and misuse of emergency procedures! Letting them return reinforces the idea they do not have to follow the law and tells our children when grown men tell them to lift their shirts, we do not listen. This incident a re-traumatizing for some students and this emergency procedure may not be taken seriously in the future now.
