I wish I could bring this beautiful family back to SA where they are missed and loved just as much- but we know God called them to the USA to impact lives and a community there, but mostly to continue growing his Kingdom!

The Blackbeard family has made a tremendous impact on the local community they serve. They have quickly become an integral part of my life, as well as many others. This was the first church I ever attended personally, and was baptized by Pastor Warren in what became a very important turning point in my life. They are here to stay, simply because life would not be the same otherwise.

My husband and I met the Blackbeards in 2022 and our babies were just born in December one day apart! They are responsible and industrious people, including their two teenage sons. I believe the US is a better place with them here. They model kindness and generosity in all they do. We’ve been blessed to know them over these last four years!

I have prayed for my youngest son and his wife to find a place to worship. For them to find peace and strength and know everything is in God’s hands. That their precious little girl is truly a blessing from God. They finally found it with the help of Pastor Warren and this church. I had the pleasure of worshiping there recently and know why God lead them here.

We have been close friends of Jen and her family for over 35 years, when we lived in South Africa. She has been good friends with our daughter since they were in elementary school. We emigrated to the USA in 1999 and live in Idaho now.
We visited Warren & Jen a couple of years ago & attended their church a few times and it was awesome! They have grown their church amazingly & we could see how much they are loved & appreciated by all. We pray their Permanent Residency is approved soon.

Hearing God’s direction to plant a Church in America, pulling up their roots and moving their family from SA is an amazing testimony of their faith. They have assimilated to the Tampa community and the community has been blessed by their presence.

The Blackbeard’s came to the US and have overcome so many difficult obstacles that we as US citizens take for granted. All of the hoops you have to jump through when you come to the US to live from another country. Establish new credit to rent a place to live, get transportation, enroll their children in new schools, changes to healthcare, and adapt to all the cultural differences. They have embraced the US culture and given back to the community admirably. Blessed to know them.

My husband and I have been guest speakers at Church Experience Westchase, have spent time with the Blackbeards and their church members, and have seen firsthand the impact the Blackbeard family is having, serving the community and using their gifts to lead a faithful and community-minded group of people in the Tampa area.
