Craig "CR" Branham, the owner of the Idaho Rocks and Gems Club, was accused of rape and attempted strangulation by an anonymous victim in 2024. In 2025, the charges were reduced and he pled guilty via Alford plea to domestic battery. (Articles linked at the bottom.)
Unlike many other rock and mineral clubs in the US, Idaho Rocks and Gems is owned by one person rather than having elected leadership. Branham benefits financially from sales from his store and from his club memberships.
I am starting a petition to demand Branham relinquish control of the club and its claims to new elected leadership.
What can you do?
- Sign the petition
- Do not renew your membership
- Boycott the store
- Spread awareness to other club members
Do NOT:
- Share club claims with outsiders
- Harass any club members, including Branham
I am an amateur rockhounder who was born in Idaho. I want to keep the hobby safe for all members. I do not want your money or a position of power in the club. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter. Please feel free to ask any questions or share your opinion.

Idaho Rocks and Gems cancelled my membership and kicked me from the FaceBook! Thank you to the two signers so far!

There are consequences to your actions, Craig. Violence against anyone is never okay.
Public safety, integrity, accountability. These things are vital to a functioning society.
Someone in power needs to be held to a higher standard. Assault against a woman is unacceptable and immoral!

There’s no space for this type of violence or any of the other horrendous behaviors this man exudes to the people around him. Craig must be held accountable and we must keep our communities safe. Justice for the victim and for all the good people he’s screwed over. I miss the real community.
