She's an amazing person and made the pub welcoming to everyone. I can't believe that they're thinking of getting rid of someone who gets along with the community so well.

The pub is a major part of the community. Not just supporting locals but the wider demographic. Veterans meet there.

I dont know Rachel personally but I know that the pub is in a good place and im always seeing advertising for fun things. My son attended the christmas event with his father and I eat here when family come visit as the food is exceptional always. Always have a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere.

Why on earth are they even thinking of replacing Rachael and the team especially since she seems to be doing a great job and has turned the place back into the heart of the community where everyone is welcome again.

Since moving into the village the difference we have noticed in the pub as a valuable place and community hub for customers is clearly very stark. Without the right people to bring a space to life and provide much needed reasons to come together and socialise, the building is just bricks and mortar. Community minded activators and champions like Rachel are an asset we cannot lose. Every village needs a pub and every village pub needs a landlady like this.

The Bay Horse is a vital community space. Rachel has shown real commitment to local people, fundraising for grassroots groups like ours, supporting charities, and creating a safe, welcoming place for those in need. She also supports veterans and neurodivergent people through inclusive employment. Losing The Bay Horse would be a huge loss to many.

Best landlady ever. Supports our dominoes and provides a great buffet when we play home games. Nothing is to much bother for Rachel and always has a smile and a kind word for everyone.

Rachael is simply the best at her job, she provides a great range of entertainment, and is so friendly and welcoming all the time! The bay would not be the same without her!

I'm signing this petition because, since arriving in the village around the same time as Rachael and Mark, I've seen first-hand the difference they have made. Rachael, alongside her late brother, has always been someone who brings people together. From supporting St Anne's Church from day one to encouraging community events and helping people feel welcome, she has invested so much into village life. Communities are built by people like Rachael—people who give their time, energy, and heart

Racheal has really brought the village community together, making the Bay Horse a community hub. She’s a great landlady and I’m absolutely flabbergasted there’s even a thought of replacing her.
