Parking is terrible at the JR and not everybody is on a convenient bus route or they may have mobility issues. Come on, use your heads.

Both my Elderly Mother and I (registered disabled) stressed getting to appointments on time. If travelling by bus, arrive travel sick and may have long wait for return bus.

It's just a nightmare parking wether I'm taking elderly parents or going to appointments for myself. Working full time means you have to fit it in with work. If using park and ride, it takes up most of the day.

My daughter was recently an in patient at the JR, for two weeks. visiting her everyday with my two grandkids in tow was stressful enough without having the daily stress and frustration of driving round and round, one day for 45 minutes trying to find a parking space. It’s an appalling way to treat people who are possibly already having a very stressful time . Must be awful for people panicking that they are going to miss appointments.

When you are sick or visiting someone close you want to park as close to your appointment you can and not have to worry about transport and delays.

Not being able to park causes significant stress to the patient and potentially missed appointments wasting patient and doctor time

If I'm rushing to fit an appointment into a working day I haven't the time to park in the Park and Ride and wait for the bus and then do the reverse. I need to be able to park at the hospital and be able to get back to work quickly

My daughter visits the JR quite frequently and often has to attend her appointments alone whilst I drive round and round looking for a space.

It's very frustrating when you leave at 6am for your appointment and you have missed it, so annoying

I attend regularly to donate blood and always use the bus from Abingdon. However I also take my son who has an eye condition so he can't drive or use a bus in case he has drops. I have to drop him off then return when he has finished in OPD. I see people struggling all the time. Not good enough.

Having worked at the Churchill hospital, I have experienced vulnerable patients that have been distressed not being able to find parking, which has affected their treatment. This should not be the case.

I get very frustrated by the traffic jams generated by traffic in and out of the hospital during rush hours, and the knock on effect it has on other traffic (especially buses) and the surrounding environment. I live locally and see it all the time. There needs to be honesty about the vested interests that have prevented anything being done about this problem before now.

To reduce the stress for visitors who are already anxious about their loved ones within the hospital.

I don’t think this needs an explanation. Because of the outrageous parking fees,
I’m forced to take the bus from the park and ride, which takes ages.

I've spend the past 12 months ferrying my partner to and from the Churchill and JR for cancer treatment. The lack of parking has added a huge amount of time to our visits and a lot of unnecessary stress.

Everyone who has to attend or work in the JR complains about the parking. It has not improved and is a disgrace, given that those visiting a hospital are already by definition ill and/or under stress.

Have regular appointments so having to leave home very early for an appointment is very annoying. Hàve lost so much time (and petrol) trying to get a space.

Providing additional capacity is vital but equally it must be managed in a way that ensures that it is available to those who need and not abused in any way that prevents the less mobile having access.
