We have never experienced this sulphur-like smell in our area until recently, and its sudden appearance is extremely concerning due to the potential health risks it poses.
On top of this, we are dealing with ongoing sewage issues in Ward 23. The smell is absolutely horrendous, and the pollution in the air is becoming unbearable. Stagnant water in our area is adding to the problem, contributing to foul odours and creating conditions that attract rats.

Air quality has deteriorated in Alberton. The municipality and environmental management are aware of this but nothing gets done. The Sasol plant in Secunda is a big polluter that remains untouched.
