We live in Spicewood Trails, and the left hand turn needs to include us. It is unsafe to use 71 because you have to take you life in your hands to make a left hand turn to get home. Nobody pays attention and you are a sitting duck just waiting to get killed until traffic clears. I know funds were provided to make a left hand turn happen, I just hope it happens before I become a statistic of another person seriously hurt or killed before you do something.

I know every time coming home from Marble to turn into Parr, I worry about traffic in that inside way not being able to stop or switch lanes before they get to me. Somebody said something about dropping a speed out of 55 they don't pay attention to 70 now so what makes you think that they will pay attention to 55.

My parents live along that stretch of road. Regularly I hear of wrecks happening due to speed and people wanting to turn left either off of 71 or onto 71. Due to all the entrances in that area I believe it should be worked on ASAP. Shovel Mountain intersection is great now.
I drive that stretch everyday. Also at least can we just reduce speed to 55 until it gets fixed???

Also the construction also adds its own perils to this area on this high speed highway, so the sooner completed the better if there is anyway to speed up the time to construct these improvements.

My wife was injured and our family mini van was totaled when she was rear ended by someone that was in too much of a hurry and got over to pass a truck and travel trailer so they got over at the last min only to realize my wife was stopping to turn left into Spicewood estates. The force put her facing the opposite direction in the westbound slow lane. Had it not been for the other drivers paying attention in oncoming traffic she would have been killed, or even more severely injured.
