Because this development is on green belt. When there is land at the entrance to the village that could be used.

It's important that we protect green belt land around the village from further development, as well as preserving the local habitat for wildlife and not placing further strain on local services and roads

Essington is a beautiful village and already so busy, with the lack of space at the school and doctors, we don’t have the facilities for people as it is! It’s also wrong to disturb the wildlife, bats are seen often around the pools and this would inflict on their space.

This development backs on to a local nature reserve, home to bat colonies, owls and voles. Any building work will negatively impact and destroy these habitats.
