I am signing this petition because there is lack of green belt and this particular land has, always been green belt and should be left as such. The proposed care home isn't called for as there has just been a large one opened in the area.

To retain the rural feel to the village and prevent the detrimental effect on Essington Pools

The small village of Essington already suffers to its detriment from increased traffic passing through as well as drainage issues, water pressure issues. All of which have been going on for years. The added pressure of this development would have a serious effect of all of these already suffering services. Let alone the environmental impact of increased vehicles fumes. Waste. Also impact on wildlife in the pools area as well as the locals that use the sanctuary as a place to relax

To build on this land would cause a huge loss to wildlife, and would also create issues with traffic as the roads into and out of the village would not accommodate nor are there bus routes/parks/school spaces for additional residents.

The village cannot sustain another housing estate. The roads are not fit for purpose, and it will put extra pressure on local amenities such as the doctors and school.

Access to major roads questionable and infrastructure questionable

There is no need for a further care home in the village.
The proposed houses will put even more burden on the existing infrastructure. There will be increased traffic leading to more congestion than currently.
The local services. Eg school, will be unable to support increased demand.
There will be a massive negative impact on the surrounding green areas.

Opposite our house,
Not enough space in the village already full to capacity, traffic down high hill is congested as it is. Also school is already 3 for entry not enough capacity for more influx of children
Don’t want the wildlife disturbing! The pools are beautiful and it will affect the wildlife massively.

Please don’t spoil our village, particularly the wildlife and ecosystems around The Pools. Services are already stretched and people need space to support physical and mental health needs.

The village water & waste system can already not cope with the amount of houses. Also this road is rebound for flooding!

We need to preserve green belt land and retain the integrity of Essington Pools and its wildlife. Essington does not have the infrastructure to support more housing and the proposed development would make a significant increase to the traffic on High Hill. There is already a care home in Essington, along with supported accommodation facilities - and shared ownership dwellings. Our rural village is being eroded by housing developments and I strongly object to this one on the above grounds.

I'm completely against this, as are many others, the infrastructure of the village can barely cope with amount of new houses built recently, never mind the disruption to wild life and traffic this will bring.
