UNSA supports all students. Including neurodivergent, queer and exchange, plus many more. Removing integral community within the uni for students is soul crushing. We need UNSA more than ever these days. Long live UNSA!!!

The university have not acted in good faith for students since Howard gutted mandatory student unionism. Before then you could get heavily subsidised food and support. UNSA has done their best to keep this alive but if the uni guts UNSA, who knows what students will have left.

UNSA provides a welcoming community, food security and support to university students. Taking this support away makes no logical sense.

UNSA has been a pivotal part of my journey at the University of Newcastle - whether it was social connection, events to boost my mental health while in the midst of study, or cheap food to support the limited income that can be made alongside study. I think they make a positive impact on the experience people have at UON and there would be a something missing without them.
