My sons special education team is wonderful and got my son to grade level in most areas. They deserve more funding not less. Imagine what they could do for our children with more funding versus threats of cuts.

As a mother of a special needs wonderful, phenomenally blessed imaginative, and highly creative, astoundingly BEAUTIFUL, fragile soul, budget cuts like this that devour my son’s needs and all others with such needs, disregard without mercy. Sickeningly, innocent children’s “critical oxygen” is coldly and brutally exterminated. Our children are gifts, the very future of our nation. If you ignore their needs, the horrific historical consequences of past self-serving atrocities will ensure harm

As a former teacher I worked with special needs children. This extra help is so important to these students. I have a granddaughter who is autistic and I can see how much being in SPED and having the individual interaction is helping her. All special needs children deserve this service to aid in a successful educational experience.

As a paraprofessional in Weber school district, it’s imperative that SPED programs stay funded. I have seen first hand what budget cuts can do to students and it’s awful when the educator’s hands are tied.

As a Special Education Teacher of 42 years, it is a travesty to seriously underfund Special Education programs for students. The purpose of an IEP is to be able to meet the needs of these students. Without funding, it feels like it should be a legal violation of their IEP!

I am a cousin of Cameron Bardsley who is such a special kid who deserves one on one attention to help him be successful in school. He is smart, kind, and loving, and no cut should be made because school has helped him and has had such an impact on his family as well. As his family I appreciate those who signed this petition and all of those who sacrifice their time in helping my cousin he is truly deserving, as a student to the right of education! No matter the disability everyone deserves it!!

As a parent, I have seen firsthand how essential special education services are for my son. These supports are not extras—they are what allow him to access his education and make meaningful progress. Behavioral support many children will simply not be able to attend school or teach their potential. I urge you not to cut these Funds.
