I had children that benefited from special education services. Some children need just a little help to understand how they learn best. If they don’t get this help they are likely to fall behind and get discouraged and never realize their full potential.

It’s a disservice to children that need extra help. It will put a strain on the neurotypical classrooms and teachers as well because the special education providers are splitting time between schools, and not able to provide as much support. And that can lead to burn out of our special education providers and our teachers.

Granite school spends frivolously on the most foolish software packages, building cost, administrative salaries and can’t afford to pay aid for special education? The district leadership are a circus of buffoons. They become less impressive year by year. They have plenty of money allocated to them by the state - they just squander it in the most egregious ways possible.

Early intervention ends at age 3, then the responsibility shifts to the school district, who care for children into adulthood. This support is necessary to integrate our children—ALL of our children—into society

My child is in the special education programs. It is absurd that they want to cut staff personally working with the children when the Granite superintendent is making $255,000+ annually.
More focus needs to be placed on our children in these programs in order to ensure a better future instead of trying to save a dime cutting the staff who does the heavy lifting in schools.
These children should not be left behind.
