I have had a child that needed the services to help him with his challenges and that is what got him through school. I have a grandchild that needed special needs services and did not receive it. He would run away from school everyday. It is so important to help kids with challenges so that they can reach their potential, they feel of worth and can contribute to society.

Students with disabilities deserve to have the exact same attention and care as those without. Don't cut funding that would help them!!!

As a foster parent, we have had many children come through our home who have IEPs and need the critical services provided by the Special Education staff. We have always worked with incredible people in Granite School District. They need all the funding and support they can get so the kids can continue receiving the invaluable care that they provide.

Students who are in special education need all of the support and funding to facilitate their education.

I believe children with special needs have a right to an education too.

I have daughter who teaches special needs children in Davis County. It is imperative that all children receive the best chance to learn and to progress, so that society as a whole will be better. Parents of special needs students can also learn skills to incorporate at home.

I am a former Granite School District paraprofessional. I worked in a behavior disturbed unit for 2.5 years helping special needs kids with learning. It's is a disgrace to the students and families who are on need of additional support.

I work in the disability services field and I know how vital special education supports are for the children and families I work with.

We have many, many friends and relatives with special needs children and this funding provides the support they desperately need. It elevates students lives to a level of happiness and opportunity they won’t receive elsewhere. We realize that you need to cut costs somewhere but please find the funds from a different program that isn’t shaping the current and future adults, adolescents and children of America. Please continue funding this beautiful program! Thanks!

We need to fight for these wonderful Special Ed students, teachers and the staff who support them daily in our schools. These children need every opportunity to learn and develop with the help of excellent Special Ed teachers and support from paraprofessionals. Our schools funding and budget cuts means we are losing 5 to 6 dedicated paraprofessionals next year. And, every year we need more help than we have not less.

I am a mother of a deaf child and an autistic son. I am tired of Granite School District pushing these kids aside as if they are nothing. Our children deserve respect, support, and equal opportunities to succeed. The district needs to step up and do what we pay them to do: provide every child with the education and services they deserve.

This program is so important for our little ones to be able to grow and learn and develop and, in the long run, become happy contributing citizens of our community.
