This petition is what is morally right. The excess in cost is prohibitive to most of us and unexpected. Yes, by all means charge the trailer park and do not let another into our community. Do not penalize the rest of us for their dirty deeds.

After thinking it through it didnt make any sense to me. The water is still going through a meter as long as the reason for use is a personal trailer or other dwelling or shed.

It is the right thing to do.

I’m an elderly disabled widow. I had surgery to remove a brain tumor and part of it is still there. I can’t work and I just don’t have it in my budget to pay for another meter. I’m on a fixed income and it would cripple me financially. I’ve lived here since 1998 and feel i should be grandfathered in.

I support our local families and farmers! I do not want to see this 2nd Meter issue causing any undue financial burden on our community members and fully support allowing all current existing Potosi Water Co. customers to be “Grandfathered” in and be exempt from this issue!

Rate and Fee Appeals: While WSCs set their own rates locally, members have the right to challenge changes. If 10% or more of affected ratepayers petition the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), or if an applicant wants to appeal unfair service installation costs, they can bring the dispute to state regulators for a formal review.

Many customers have elderly parents in parent homes on the same property. Forcing those folks to have a second meter is not financially possible for most of those people.

Both homes on our property were built by the developer. We shouldn't be charged afterwards if he didn't comply with codes

While I agree PWSC can charge for 2nd meter, I do believe customers who currently have two meters should be grandfathered

Thank you for putting this petition together. We purchased our home and are the third family to live in this home with an existing structure. We had no idea this type of thing would happen. And has someone already stated the prohibitive cost of this or astronomical to fix income families.

The proposed/speculative cost estimates just for the meter is extremely high. Coupled with the cost of reaching our guest house on our side of the meter, that we rarely use, is likely to cost 25-30k. This unexpected cost would create a financial hardship for a situation that has existed for well over 15 years.

Second meters aren't required by the PUCT in this instance, they do not add anything that one meter can't do, and no one should have to pay monthly for a meter they did not ask to have. The PWS has been deceitful from the beginning and they need to be held accountable for this mess!
Great work Spencer, we appreciate you!!
Because it’s not beneficial to me or my family.
