My husband is a FWFD firefighter and having less help on fires and emergencies scares me because it’s his life on the line. Plus, support after being injured has proven difficulty (see the FF last year’s struggles to be compensated for medical).

My brother in law is a Forth Worth firefighter. He and his fellow firefighters deserve more. They put their lives on the line every day, willingly. They choose to be there, they love what they do, they love serving others. They sacrifice, and their families too. And to cut budget??? Really?? Slap in the face. They deserve to be honored, appreciated, properly compensated, properly equipped, and not overworked.

We must grow the FWFD in line with the rapid growth of the city’s population. This is the most vital service the people of Fort Worth and her guests should be able to count on and should not have a barred expense.
