Subpar wages and benefits compared to peer cities lead to losing highly trained, top-tier talent to surrounding municipalities. A top-10 national city requires first-class public safety infrastructure. Operating a department that lags in size, staffing, and pay undermines our community's standard of safety. Rapid population expansion without proportional department growth forces fewer personnel to cover larger areas, directly risking emergency response times.

My husband is a FWFD employee. These firefighters are our family and sacrifice a lot to do this essential job for our community. Let’s make sure they have everything they need to be successful and safe at this very dangerous job.

Hey government… stop with all the BS already. Covid hit and you screwed everything! Most places literally run on the absolute bare minimum number of employees to keep things running, making them cover the work 3-5 other people used to cover. Stop being greedy, give people their jobs back and stop muking everything up because you might be running the show but this is my country and I will replace you!!!

This is important to me because it affects my family personally as my dad is a fireman at 16s. But on a larger perspective these men and women are risking their lives everyday day to save ours and that should enough in itself to make sure they are getting the best of the best.

Haslet residents suffer from poor infrastructure. EMA and FIRE have great difficulty reaching or leaving the area when there is a crisis. We need more EMS and FIRE stations!

As someone who works in Ft. Worth and travels the already precarious road ways every single day, the idea to reduce fire fighters by up to 25% is unacceptable. Our fire fighters and paramedics deserve full funding, and the people of Ft. Worth deserve safety and quick response times.

I come from a family of firefighters and paramedics, with a long history of seeing the importance of a strong and stabile fire service. It is beyond terrifying that the 10th largest city and the second fastest growing city in the country does not have the right people in place to currently see and foresee the needs of the people they serve. It is shameful and greedy.
