Because land and livestock should be protected! If anyone else were to do this, they would be in major trouble. I was raised by a police officer and still say police officers should be held accountable for their actions. They are held at a higher standard and their actions should reflect a higher standard, not a privileged one. You’re there to serve and protect, not murder.

I support this petition because transparency is the first requirement of a fair process. The officer is entitled to every presumption of innocence. No one should be judged from rumors, partial accounts, or social media before the evidence is seen.
When force is used on private property and a life is taken, the family and the public have a right to the complete, unedited body-camera footage to the fullest extent the law allows. That is not a verdict. It is the first step toward accountability

A police officer should be able to remain calm in stressful situations. A miniature donkey coming up to you should not even count as a stressful situation, let alone a situation in which the use of lethal force is justified.

Animals and homeowners have rights. Everyone is accountable for their actions, including police officers and needs to be held accountable. My husband is a retired state trooper and we own pets and property. What happened here needs reviewed and handled appropriately.
