Flock cameras are the most horrific violation of our rights as american citizens. In the short time they have been illegally installed in our towns and cities they have been abused by officers to stalk ex partners, hacked by anonymous online entities to watch a children's gymnastics facility, and they also often falsely flag individuals for crimes they did not commit.
This would be a disgusting disservice to the people of Damascus to install such a nasty, abusable tool of surveillance.

Flock cameras violate our privacy
by taking photos of every vehicle passing their cameras, logging detailed information about them into a massive nationwide database, and making it possible to track those vehicles and apply AI to uncover their occupants’ private patterns of life.

It’s a small town, the police do a great job already. We do not need these. This is crazy!

We don't need any mor "Big BrothThe government is way out of line in our lives as it is. Damascus, a town I drive through weekly, is fine on its own and does not need a large corporation making money off of their spying on activity. This renders the public defenseless when a slight speed limit is over stepped. STOP THIS BEFORE IT GETS OUT OF HAND!

We do not need this kind of surveillance in this small town. If they truly cared about their citizens, they would work harder to find out why a woman was found deceased after weeks of looking for her, beside her place of work. They do not truly care about their citizens.

I care about the 4th amendment and I don’t want to live in a police state with undue surveillance under the guise that it’s a benefit to the community. The bureaucracy of the government doesn’t need more power, the individual does. This is hand in hand with data centers, kill switches in car and digital currency. Each right we give up we can’t get back.

Corporate surveillance and data mining doesn't make me feel safer. Our town can't afford to scare away visitors while we're still trying to recover from Helene and bring tourists back to Damascus.
