This appears to be a very useful tool. It helps deter crime and proactively protects individuals from harm. I’d much rather have my children play in a park where cameras deter pedophiles from lurking. These are not being placed in people’s living rooms, they are in the public domain where anyone can see. Don’t let the pro-criminal element fool you into thinking this is anything but protecting the inncocent.

It should not take a OPRA request to have transparency.

Town security measures outside of the scope of police work should always be reviewed with a comment period from citizens. To implement measures any other way is to create a sense of fear and surveillance.

Flock trains police departments to lie and misrepresent Flock products to council and public. Truth is, Flock ALPR'S are not license plate readers. They flag people, dogs, bicycles and any description of a person customized as a "hotlist hit". Like "man in hoodie shirt" for example. They can flag that. So NOT a ALPR thats a lie. All the company Flock does is defraud the public all over.

Why are we citizens being filmed without our approval and knowledge? Who are the videos being shared with? Why are our tax dollars paying for cameras that invade our privacy and in today's political environment threaten our rights as American citizens?

Flock cameras can hold data up to three years, and it can be shared with police departments around the country. Studies show they report incorrect data up to one third of the time.
