In light of recent events concerning the current FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and his decision to sell 20 billion dollars in minority stakes in future World Cup tournaments. Although no deals have been finalized, it still sets a precedent for where the World Cup as well as his authority is going to affect the future of football as a whole.
If change doesn't start now, In a few years time, the game that billions of people around the globe take time to watch, will look very different from what it is now.
Great strides have been made by another big football organization by the name of UEFA,who are planning to boycott the decision. But this won't be enough to fix the problem. A total restructure of the FIFA Association is in order. And i wholeheartedly believe the football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo should lead the charge in the restructuring of the association.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a man who has outwardly spoken against different decisions that FIFA has made, with this one being no different. So, if anyone were to take the position, It would be Cristiano Ronaldo because his views align most with the views of the public, countrie as well as most other current and retired football players. I also believe he has qualities befitting a person that is to take management over FIFA.
Football is not just national but generational heritage and the World Cup being a tournament that has lasted 96 years from 1930 to date, it is one of if not the greatest symbol of football heritage and selling shares of such a precious award is truly a spit in the faces of everyone that has invested their time on what is considered "the world's game"
Ronaldo is the greatest player to walk on this planet, it is only righ thatt he owns the sport he dominated.
