Build Additional Tennis Courts at Loma Alta Park 2026

Emily Taylor

Tennis has given me so much in the way of friends & community. Not to mention exercise & a way to enjoy the outdoors. Court time is hard to find because of the lack of availability & shortage of courts. Please build more courts to help expand tennis's positive impact.

Cristina Padron

I started playing tennis 8 years ago and it has truly changed my life--I am now a much happier and healthier person. There are not nearly enough public courts in the city, and very few areas that could possibly be expanded. I would love to see more courts at Loma Alta--especially if they could also accommodate USTA play.

We need more courts — for tennis and not pickleball.

Sridhar Kalluri

This would be a wonderful way to rebuild the Altadena community, as tennis is a healthy and socially engaging activity for all ages.

Gregory Han

More than ever we need more activity options for Altadena residents returning to the community, and the tennis courts have become especially popular. Two to four more courts would alleviate the wait many players – both young and old – currently have to endure to play.

LaTanya Smith

Tennis is a sport enjoyed by all ages! There are never enough courts for as many people that want to play! Altadena needs beautiful courts just like Pasadena at the Rose Bowl.

Danielle Kronfli

Tennis is an important part of our community especially after the fires. Loma Alta is our only functioning park in Altadena and we need more gathering space - specifically for tennis players

June Ip

Loma Alta is a wonderful park and extra tennis courts would go a long way in providing space for tennis goers to play.

David Bailey

Our neighborhoods need more opportunities for youth recreation.

Milby BARRON

It’s very hard to find courts to play on!

Shimica Gaskins

It is critically important to maintain opportunities for children from the community to have access to free quality tennis courts and affordable coaching.

Playing tennis at Loma Alta makes me feel that I am part of the community. It gives me the opportunity to meet players from all walks of life and share in a bonding experience. You are exercising the mind and the body while releasing the stresses that we all face everyday. Tennis is essential in building sound, healthy relationships with your neighbors and friends. Having additional courts would expand the ability to include more members of the community at large.

Andy Lu

Pickleball has invaded and taken too many tennis courts.

Brian Wee

Not many tennis options and lots of courts have been converted to pickleball which has made even less tennis courts available.

Virginia Yount

Veronica and the tennis courts at Loma Alta got us through Covid lockdown and now the fires. We lost our home, are rebuilding, and we need more places to play tennis!

Gerald Chao

Would love to have more courts here!!

We have been lobbying for Tennis courts for years, and now is the time for the community to rebuild itself. This would be a perfect time to have a Tennis center at Loma Alta Park.

Samuel Domingo

I’m always in support of tennis. It brings so many positive benefits to individuals and communities.
