We are trying to gauge how many people in the Rochester area would actually play maimai regularly if a cabinet showed up locally.
What is maimai? Why would I want to play? maimai DX is a rhythm arcade game from Sega played on a large circular touch-panel screen with buttons on the rim. You tap, hold, and swipe to the beat across hundreds of songs spanning J-Pop, anime Songs, EDM, and more!!!
It's one of the most popular arcade games in Japan and has a growing scene in the US, but there's no cabinet anywhere near Rochester right now. If you like rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution, osu!, Groove Coaster, or anything similar, it's extremely fun and a great excuse to hang out with other people!

I want to play MAIMAI so badly, I have never been to a Japanese arcade style area since I visited Chicago as a little kid 7 years ago. My online friends urge me to try but I never had one locally. This could be a once in a lifetime chance!
Recently played it a bunch at the Round1 in Erie, would love to have one closer!

A huge fan of bemani and other music oriented games to the degree of phigros, taiko no tetsujin, pop'n music, beatmania IIDX, Pump it up, reflec beat, music gungun, and dance dance revolution.

Please!! Rochester is a dead zone when it comes to rhythm games we desperately need a place to cater to the community.
