On April 2, 2024, Riot came out with a new set of patch notes. Patch 14.7.

In this patch, Riot decided that Rell players had been having too much fun... and specifically made a change to STOP ME from becoming THE BEST Rell jungle player EVER. ME. THEY SPECIFICALLY TARGETED ME. 100%. NO DOUBT.

In Patch 14.7, Riot increased her base magic resist growth, removed Q bonus monster damage, removed W bonus monster damage and removed E bonus monster damage. Consequently, stripping away the bonus monster damage from Rell's abilities officially made her jungle viability nonexistent.

This was the death of Rell jungle. :sobbinginmyunderwear:

In Riot's words, she had held a long spot in pro play as a low-economy jungler who excelled at securing objectives and succeeded on very little gold income. However, these specific strengths, which were only good for a very small set of players, had often prevented them from making adjustments that would be good for the 90% of Rell players who enjoyed her in support. (She was and is a supp champ. If you don't give a champ time to grow in another role, the player base there won't grow...)

Riot viewed Rell's frequent appearances in pro play as a jungler and their struggle to balance her accordingly in supp as an unnavigable issue. As a result, they patched her out of the role completely.

TL;DR, she had become a dominant, high-priority flex pick in pro play due to her strong crowd control and low-economy scaling, and it was too difficult to balance her for the 90% of players who used her as a Support. If you can't fix something people enjoyed, just get rid of it, right?

But in 2026, we were given what literally no one asked for and were pushed to reconsider stinky, shitty, no-hand-having, brain-leaking, hemorrhoid-having MAGE BOT LANE. Something that absolutely nobody was happy with and that caused so much uproar that League streamers all tried to have interviews and chats with some of the devs... but it's fine guys, because mage bot lane creates "Healthy Frustration" :)

Riot quite literally made Mel and Ambessa. (Mel got mid-scoped lul) They have no issue with K'Sante and Rumble appearing in every pro game ever. Nocturne, Cassiopeia, Vi and Orianna being banned all year round in pro play with no changes made. But Rell jungle is where we draw the line...

What was really so wrong with Rell jungle that she had to be sent to THE PIT OF DOOM (supp role) forever?

Riot hates Horse Girls obviously!! (I don't actually know if this is true, please don't sue me for slander. I've added imo and jk at the end so you can't now. Get facked m8)

I obviously don't know how hard it is to balance a champion in League of Legends as I'm not a dev, but I do know as a player that sometimes the devs don't know how to balance their own champs and make some of the weirdest changes. And no matter what, they always find a way to make it work in the end. Why give up on Rell jungle when so many people enjoyed it? I understand putting it to the side momentarily because you can't figure out a solution, but a champ that can only be played in one role is a boring champ...

This petition is mostly for fun and jokes, but I DO want Rell jungle back. I doubt anything will change as Riot most likely:

1. Has absolutely no idea who I am or that this petition exists.
2. Doesn't care + didn't ask + L BOZO + you're bald lul + "enjoy mages bot" + "healthy frustration".
3. Has more Mythic Variant and Gacha skins to make for the champions you enjoy (fuck ultimate skins in da bin) and wishes to aggravate the current addiction all League players have.
4. Probably forgot that Rell existed tbh. I often forget that I'm real until the sudden realisation that nothing is permanent, that my parents are getting old and we're all going to die, and not the League kind where you have a death timer with a slight grey screen (idk why they made that change...). And although I'm young and have my life ahead of me, I'm also old and unc and like, my tummy is hurting rn, so I should just ff... yk?

On an actual serious note, I would genuinely like to see Rell jungle become viable again. The moment I stopped being anxious about playing League and got out of being an ARAM-only player, I wanted to play Rell jungle. I enjoy the champ and have a lot of fun playing her. She's a fun support, but could be even more fun if I could play her jungle.

By the time I had mustered up the courage to play jungle, knowing how toxic people are, and studied how to play her in the jungle and what she builds, Riot had already patched her out.

It was the ONE thing I was actually looking forward to and I never even got the chance to try it. All because Riot are evil, money-hungry, smelly, Mythic Variant, Gacha skin, HEALTHY FRUSTRATION-giving developers >:(

Because she was too hard for them to balance.

If Riot ever figures out how to make Rell jungle work, I'd be very appreciative. I also think bringing Rell back in pro play would be fun. It's always nice seeing your champs picked in pro play and seeing how they play them.

I think it would also be nice to see more picks in pro play. We tend to see the same faces pop up in games and you can basically predict the picks they're going to go with these days. (Not saying adding Rell would change that. She'd just be a new face that would become a recurring face.) But if you think about it, it could bring in more viewers. Like me, for example. But until then, I'll stick to watching Caedrel and his shitty shitty chess games. Big up mandem Tom.

(Also, you should believe me and sign the petition because I knew that Rell's horse was going to become a Rhino in her Grand Reckoning skin because Riot are too predictable. I'm always 2 steps ahead...)

(Also also, please don't make her lore shit now that Mel and Ambessa exist. You ruined "Crazy Pinkie Pie" Seraphine by making Skarner a real scorpion, so now she's no longer harvesting the souls of a magical crystallised civilisation to power up her hoverboard and power bank (I know she can hear the screams of Skarner's people every time she's left alone with her thoughts). Renata isn't even real, Camille just scissors women for now ig and Viktor is fucking Moses... Way to make everything religious, anyway.)

Make Rell Jungle a Thing Again. Restore Our Horse Girl. ROHG.

(This petition is filled with slight frustrations, but I do not wish any harm or ill intent towards Riot or its employees. I just don't think this year has been a very good year for League and every time something shit happened, it kinda just got worse.
