It is a monumental missed opportunity to integrate a new, proportionate-to-its-surroundings, mixed income building, perhaps with some businesses on the ground floor, which would benefit the residents and create actual community instead of continuing the ghettoization low income housing seems to generally perpetuate.

I support affordable housing and the replacement of Bliss Towers. I do not support putting a project of this magnitude on a site that is already extraordinarily complicated. The proposed two-phase construction, followed by the demolition of a nine-story tower, means years of noise, dust, trucks, disruption, and construction concentrated in the Second Ward. Bigger is not necessarily better. Hudson has an opportunity to create affordable housing throughout the city rather than concentrating nearly

Hudson currently has a number of vacant multi-family properties for sale, including some priced below $800k. I strongly believe affordable housing should be thoughtfully integrated throughout our community rather than concentrated in any one area. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live in safe, welcoming neighborhoods and to feel connected to the broader community. Creating affordable housing in different parts of Hudson can promote greater and dignity.

Simply put there are so many unanswered questions --this project belongs in an urban center like the Bronx not Hudson--we are faced with building a huge over expensive ---over sized housing project that has little relationship to our small city---the planning board wants to close public comment out of the process and keep the citizens of Hudson quiet--how do we handle the sewer -the water-fire and public safety issues with this massive project---etc.

Concern about use of toxic land for residential development. Overcrowding the neighborhood when previous develop plan had an indicated awider scope throughout Hudson for relocating residents of Bliss Towers and new affordable housing. Concerns over asbestos contamination in the neighborhood with no plan in place for safe demolition and removal of hazardous material.

This plan is easily improvable and not doing it will set up Hudson for another few decades of easily avoidable misery.
Go back to last year's plan which had a first-floor retail component. What is currently proposed will create buildings that no one, other than those living in it, will ever want to interact with.
That is not a vision of good urbanism.
