We call on clubs and DJs to stop playing “Gasolina” and to make room for the many other Spanish songs that better reflect the variety and energy of Latino and Hispanic music today. This song is old and overplayed, and it does not represent the full essence of all Latinos and Hispanics. In 2026, there are many more songs in Spanish that can bring the same excitement to a night out without leaning on one track that has been used far too often. When clubs keep reaching for the same song again and again, they flatten a rich culture into a tired shortcut. Let clubs celebrate the full range of Latin music instead of repeating one old anthem as if it speaks for everyone.
