Robert Lewandowski deserved the 2020 Ballon d’Or for his extraordinary performances, remarkable goal-scoring record, and historic achievements with Bayern Munich during the 2019–2020 season.

He scored 55 goals in 47 appearances, helped Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League, and finished as the top scorer in all three competitions. His 15 Champions League goals played a crucial role in Bayern’s European triumph, as the team won every match in the competition that season.

Lewandowski’s outstanding performances were further recognised when he won The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020 and the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year 2019/20 award, demonstrating his exceptional standing in world football.

Unfortunately, the Ballon d’Or was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving Lewandowski without the opportunity to receive football’s most prestigious individual award in a year when his achievements made him a leading contender.

We believe Robert Lewandowski’s incredible season deserves lasting recognition. This petition calls for his extraordinary achievements in 2020 to be acknowledged and for France Football to consider an appropriate way to honour a season that will forever be remembered as one of the greatest in football history.

His goals, trophies, consistency, and individual excellence made 2020 a truly remarkable year for him. While the original award was cancelled, his achievements should never be forgotten.AWARD  Aw
