I tried to get access to work support for the project i am building that is to help support late diagnosed and chronic ill in my area and was told its 37 weeks! So burnout before support, how does thay help anyone?

Being the mother of a deaf son and having to keep on telling A2W not to phone him because he's deaf gets tiresome - he has his notes updated with this and text only or call me and they have my number but no they call him and leave messages and then I call back the next day - the case worker is on leave for over three weeks and no one is dealing with his renewal in his absence - now told the wait list is almost 12 months - this is madness

In a time where foul actors seek to further disenfranchise and dehumanise disabled individuals and to demolish the few pillars of support we receive from the government, it is essential to bolster every opportunity and scheme that supports us. The government must ensure that the road to help is as accessible as possible. Disabled people deserve to live fulfilling lives just as much as anyone else, and to not be forgotten nor left abandoned to wade through the swamp of the system alone.

I have 2 adults sons with ASC/ADHD (no LD) who since they left education have been failed,with 1:1 support impossible to get in the work environments that would suit them. In particular, a smaller step into work is via volunteering or work experience, but we are told Access to Work only supports paid employment, which is crazy. They wouldn't have had the close support in school, if they could just step into a paid job easily. They both want to work, but need smaller steps into that environment.

A system that fails those that are trying so hard to contribute to society, help support each other and yet are also some of the most vulnerable people in our communities is unjust, shameful an intollerable. This neglected and failed system needs repairing such that it effectively and efficiently supports the people it is supposed to. Anything other than that is totally unacceptable...get it sorted...NOW !

This is important to me because AtW could and should help people who already face many obstacles to work, and yet it currently causes them even more problems. And it continues to become worse. Before trying to make changes, AtW should talk to the people who use it.

Having been the beneficiary of A2W support for the last three years it's made a huge difference to me being able to maintain both employed and self employed status. However, I've decided not to apply again for the support at renewal after hearing the absolute horror stories about how people are being treated and how support is being slashed. I don't want to feel like a sponger, just getting the support I need to function in an unequal society. Sort it out Andy.

Access to work system is inaccessible and consistently breaches the Equality Act by failing to provide reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities to engage with the process. I live with disabilities and depend on access to work to ensure I can access and stay in work. The system is failing me and my health is deteriorating just to advocate for myself I had to write to my MP. The access to work system has not been co-created together with people with lived experience and doesn’t serve us
