I’m signing because Kawanthissa deserved compassion, proper medical care and protection. His death demands honest answers about possible medical negligence and neglect by the responsible authorities. We owe him an independent investigation and accountability for any failures that caused his suffering. Nothing can bring him back, but we can demand change!!!! His life mattered!!!!! His suffering must never be forgotten, and no other elephant should endure the same heartbreaking fate!!!!!!!!!!

A country shows its greatness not only through its buildings, wealth, or power, but also through how it treats the creatures that cannot speak for themselves.A great tusker cannot be brought back once it is gone. We should protect these magnificent animals, preserve their habitats, and find ways for people and elephants to live safely together.

මම මෙ සහය දෙන්නේ අපේ රටේ ඉපදුන රටට සම්පතක් වුන අපෙ අලි ඇතුන් පරපුර රැකගන්න. පහුගිය අවුරුද්දේ භාතිය ඇතා නැති වුනා. මේ අවුරුද්දේ මුලු දකුනු අසියාවටම හිටිය විසාලම ඇතා ඒ වගෙම කාටවත් කරදරයක් නැති අපේ කාවන්තිස්ස අපිට නැති වුනා. අලි ඇතුන්ට ආදරේ කරන කෙනෙක් විදිහට මට මේක ගොඩක් කනගාටුදායක දෙයක්. මේ අහින්සකයා වෙනුවෙන් සාදාරනයක් කරන්න. අපේ ඉතුරු වෙලා ඉන්න අහින්සකයෝ ටික රැකගන්න පියවරක්, එයාලගෙ ආරක්ශාව වෙනුවෙන් පනතක් ගේන්න. අලි ඇතුන් ගැවසෙන ඉඩම් වලට, කැලෑ වලට ආරක්ශාව දෙන්න.
