Tragically, Kawanthissa is not an isolated case. So many of our magnificent elephants are dying unnecessarily every year due to human negligence, conflict, and inadequate medical interventions. These majestic creatures are a vital part of our heritage, ecosystem, and identity, yet they continue to suffer preventable deaths.

Tuskers are a great resource in Sri Lanka. They are unjustly affected due to human misconduct. I believe death of Kawanthissa is an unjust death which could have prevented by relevant authorities if worked more responsibly
