I am an animal lover. I do not believe that necessary steps were taken to save this gentle giant. Critical protocol has been skipped.
Sri Lankans in power as a nation must protect its national treasures at all times especially a majestic animal as Kavantissa. What a beautiful and magnificent creation you have all lost purely due to ignorance and negligence. So very sad to see this and hear the story behind his demise.

So that all those involved in this inhuman act of killing the elephant king Kawanthissa will be punished both by nature and by the law.

This is a tragic and avoidable loss of life of a great wild life asset! Those who were responsible should be brought to justice.
Justice for King Kawanthissa! 🐘💔 Every animal deserves to live with dignity, safety, and freedom. Their lives matter, and it is our responsibility to protect them. Let us raise our voices for King Kawanthissa and demand justice. Animals deserve love and protection, not suffering. ❤️🙏
