I am an animal lover. I do not believe that necessary steps were taken to save this gentle giant. Critical protocol has been skipped. Sri Lankans in power as a nation must protect its national treasures at all times especially a majestic animal as Kavantissa. What a beautiful and magnificent creation you have all lost purely due to ignorance and negligence. So very sad to see this and hear the story behind his demise.
