Name: R. Anderson on Aug 15, 2008Comments: This man advocates the abuse of young children. It has been proven that 'reparative therapy' did not work for homosexuals of any age, nor does it work on transgendered adults. How this man thinks it works on transgendered children, I have no idea. Many of us went through experiences similar to his 'reparative therapy' when we were young, and all of us who went through those experiences will describe them as painful, and unnecessary. This not only harms the child, but the child's family, who believes that by torturing their child like this, they are decreasing the pain of the child and the family in the long run. When later, the child still exhibits transgenderism, they feel betrayed, not only by this so-called doctor, but by the child who 'refused to get well.'Flag

Name: Sarah Hardman on Aug 17, 2008Comments: Dr Zucker's approach is fundamentally at odds with any constructive understanding and treatment of GID in adolescents as in effect he does not believe it exists - giving him a platform for his views would be the equivalent of inviting Cromwell's Witchfinder General to inform us about religion - his reactionnary views are discredited and out of date and more significantly, he has nothing constructive or of value to add to the debate.Flag

Name: Margeaux May on Aug 17, 2008Comments: Dr. Zucker is in a position to unnecessarily multply the pain in our trans-youth manyfold. Anyone trans, youth or adult, will have a challenging and at times painful life. We all know that GID is not treatable and acceptance and support is the first and only direction toward healing. If Dr. Zucker and the medical community fails to recognize, accept, and support transfolk, then the medical community has alredy broken its first rule, "first, do no harm." Dr. Zucker is the architect of that harm. Please bar him from speaking at the Royal Academy of Medicine.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 18, 2008Comments: The theories, practices, and beliefs of Mr. Zucker bear not even the faintest relation to science and indeed represent a diametric opposition to the apparent direction of the most current evidence regarding gender dysphoria. On the contrary rather than representing empirical science and proper methodology the "thinking" of Mr. Zucker and his "known accomplices" instead betrays a prejudice informed by bias, bigotry, intolerance, self-interest, twisted ambition and quite possibly malicious intent. It is this indeed that guides the work of these soon to be discredited hacks. Fortunately this pathetic little brain trust is so blatant in their incompetence that once a little light is directed under their communal rock the jig shall be up so to speak. At which point it will be the already shaky credibility of the entire psychiatric community that will be seriously damaged. Happily I personally am in a position, with my connections in both the legal community as well as in Hollywood, to do a little something about this matter. We will be fighting this. We will be loud. Promise. Sincerely, N.K.G.Flag

As France, Suisse, italy are way behind Sapain, Belgium Netherland, UK, California, Canada, and Germany regarding rigths and treatment for TS ind Intersex people his position would be wellcome ex by France to go 2 or 3 steps even back. Stop him now please !!Flag
