I propose that Zizzi reverse their decision to change the staff food policy in Zizzi restaurants nationwide. We, as a work force, are a key component of the business which last year operated with a profit of over £18 million. Our hardwork, professionalism and attitude help make Zizzi the popular restaurant experience it is, and the food we are given on shift is one of the few rewards we get for that success. Our hours are often cut on very short notice and 6hr shifts are becoming increasingly rare. We work for minimum wage and at unsociable hours, and I believe that there was no reason for the food policy to change, and it is only causing ill-feeling amongst employees. I would ask that the Zizzi management rethink their policy change on this issue
