Before the Zionsville Transportation Committee, the Zionsville Plan Commission, or before the Zionsville Town Council, due to cultural, safety and environmental impacts, we, the undersigned, oppose the following items being placed into the Zionsville Transportation Plan currently being drafted: 1. placing the extension of Cooper Road from SR 334 north to Michigan Road; 2. and the creation of a new interchange at Cooper Road and Interstate 865. We support establishing a current Zionsville Master Comprehensive Plan which includes a philosophy of equally alternate routes for the Zionsville rural areas and: 1. protecting our neighborhoods and cultural resources from the impacts of the interchange and extension; 2. preserving the rural characteristics of Zionsville provided by green space and the Traders Point Rural Historic Districts.
