| 290 | Familie Hugo J. Wulffraat, Holland | a) We will not holiday in Zakynthos.
b) We will boycott any holiday companies which send tourists to Zakynthos.
c) We will encourage others by all means at our disposal to shun Zakynthos as a tourist destination. |
| 291 | Mike Pagomenos | I agree with parts (ii), and parts (iii) of the petition. Part (i) is hard to take seriously since EEC directives and hypocrisy go hand-in-hand. I don't think that it is necessary to boycott tourism to Zakynthos but I do think it is important to educate the people of Zakynthos on how to protect the natural environment and on what to do when the criminal minority violate the natural environment. The people of Zakynthos have to earn a living too and tourism is a part of that. They can earn a living from tourism and give the turtles a chance. |
