Dear John McCain,

We call upon you to seriously consider selecting former Governor Mitt Romney as your running mate for the November general election.

We urge you to consider Mitt's outstanding leadership credentials, his commitment to social conservative values, his fund-raising capabilities, and his economic talents.

We ask you to look past the bigotry and slandering of certain conservative minorities who would distort Mitt's record and paint him as a liberal in disguise.

This petition is sponsored by concerned Americans who realized that a tiny but focused group of misguided conservatives were trying to dissuade John McCain and the world that Mitt Romney would be the best choice for vice-president.

This petition was created in response to a similar petition created by this anti-Romney group.

We encourage supporters of Mitt Romney to sign this petition. We also urge those who are contributing money and time to the McCain campaign to pass along their desire that he select Mitt Romney as his running mate.
