Dear Orange County Commissioners:
PLEASE VOTE IN FAVOR OF INNOVATION ON May 11
East Orange County and the region need this smart, long-range plan to fulfill the Innovation Way vision to bring high-quality jobs to our area and connect UCF and Alafaya Trail to the Beachline, Innovation Way and Medical City. With good planning, Central Florida will be able to protect the environment, attract employers, and create quality communities. These pieces are finally in place.
Don't delay and risk losing the opportunity to fulfill the Innovation Way vision--improving the quality of life and bringing $50,000,000 in jobs right now and over 25,000 high quality, high tech, clean jobs for the future. Waiting will prolong the job shortage crisis and continue the sprawl that plagues our region.
Innovation is setting the standard for community open space and nature preservation with over HALF of all land in the community (over 3500 acres) dedicated to open space, nature preservation, and environmental protection:
A new 600 acre Orange County Regional Park: nature preserve, trails, and environmental education.
Preserved wildlife corridors: dedicated wildlife corridors preserving natural movement, migration, and habitat.
Enlarged and permanent protection for Econ River and Turkey Creek: setting a higher standard for protecting environmental treasures--buffers along the Econ River and Turkey Creek far exceed the amount required by law.
A vote for Innovation is a vote for jobs, nature and the outdoors, and a better community.
