Comments: Currently, our nation is in quite the dilemma with many countries including many Arabic-speaking nations. It would be to the advantage of the citizenry of the United States if some of our youth learn the language of Arabic to break down barriers of communication to foster understanding and growth as a country.

Comments: Its an excellent idea to offer to our children. Our world is rapidly becoming small global village and we need to teach our children the basics of all languages.I agree it should be part of the curriculum just as other languages are offered in public schools today.I hope this will be approved and endorsed by the state in time for the 2007-2008 school year.

Comments: This would benefit NC and USA and will give people opportunity to learn of of the widely spoken language in the world. Arabic language is one of the UN official language. This would enrich NC and USA with a pool of Arabic speaking resources. This also would enhance the understanding of the Arabic and muslim cultures.
