Dear Deborah Yedlin,
It is with great regret and disgust to have read your article titled "Harper should pack message of restraint for trip to St. John's". The premise to which it was written and the intended audience being the World, you have done no justice to people of this Province.
This is not the first time the Globe and Mail has allowed its staff to insult, ridicule, dis-respect, and be-little the people in this province, just as you have done so in yours.
You call yourself a National writer yet you never took the time to consult our province on your article before publishing. As one reads through your article, it is clear you are uninformed on what goes on in this part of the Country outside your own province. Under no instance have you mentioned how we have had raw deals in the past. Maybe an education on Eastern Canada could help you.
As I read through your article, it is very clear you have no understanding of the issues or reasons to why decisions that our premier has taken, is well supported by our residents. It is too bad you don't pay more attention to what is going on in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Regardless, you have demonstrated your position and the views of Canadians by writing that article for world viewing.
You should be ashamed of your article and apologize to us!
Regards,
A NL Resident |
