The undersigned Yarmouth residents hereby petition council to: 1) Maintain zoning emphasis "on retention of the residential component and remaining open space in the village area" pursuant to Chapter 701 Zoning (see below). 2) Maintain Yarmouth Town Code (Zoning) regarding seating capacity of restaurants in the Village Zone pursuant to Chapter 701 Zoning, Article IV (see below). From" Town of Yarmouth Zoning Ordinance" Village Zone: The purpose of the Village Zone is to provide an area of diversity and vitality which contains a complimentary mixture of small scale business, professional and retail shops and offices, as well as governmental services and residential uses. A number of outstanding Buildings are located in this area,and it shall be a prime goal of this Ordinance to encourage the retention of the exterior architectural features while realizing that changing economic and social conditions may make interior renovations and a variety of uses necessary. Emphasis is placed on retention of the residential component and remaining open space in the village area. Article IV.Chapter 701 102 Restaurants and Restaurants /carry-out shall only be permitted within Buildings in existence on August 1, 1993, and will conform to the following standards: (1) Seating shall be limited to sixty (60) seats.
