| 176 | Eric Huberman | Steinbrenner is the man don't mess with him m |
| 177 | Jonah Safris | |
| 178 | Michael Dunn | F Boston |
| 179 | Nick | George Steinbrenner rescued the Yankees from also-ran status and injected his fierce commitment to winning into all levels of the organization. Say what you will about the man, but the Yankees once again became The Yankees once George came on the scene. Honor him while he's still alive to experience it. |

| 186 | Keith Reed | Please honor the man that has given so much to us all! |
| 187 | comnsnse | Whoever started the petition ,you are to be commended.Steinbrenner's contributions are unparalled in the history of professional sports.I attempted to initiate this idea over a year ago with both Yankee mgmt.and N.Y.area sportswriters and with the exception of G. Vescey of the Times was never able to get a response from other writers or the Yankees whom I sent registered letters to.Good luck with your efforts,he is deserving of the honor. |
| 188 | Anonymous | he done a great deal for ny and the yankees |
| 189 | Timothy Randle | George, thanks for the memories. I can still remember, as a nine year old, leaving a game in extra innings. My Mom tried, but back to Jersey was a long drive--we heard the winning home run call on the radio. College was Trenton Thunder, Savannah Sand Gnats and Greensboro Bats...saw some great ones! My daughter loves our AA (Huntsville Stars!) season tix right behind the home dugout.
Munson, Nettles, Hunter to Mattingly, Cerone, Randolph to Jeter, Posada, Rivera.
Thank you...for the memories, for the baseball, for the time with my family. |

| 191 | Joseph Runk | I think this would be a great way of honoring a man who is a true fans owner. He has had his moments but he has always given New York a great team. |
| 192 | George Kent Van Allen | Yes he deserves a special day for all he has done for the Yankees. |
| 193 | Gary Ray | George has certainly earned a"DAY in his Honor" because unlike ,just about all the other owners have pocked their big money and only invested small amounts for their fans but "OLE" George tried very hard to deliver a playoff calber team every year for the NY-Fans regardless what it COST! |
| 194 | ray delacruz | he deserve way more then that.he is the yankee godfather. i love him |
