AnonymousI think this is a VERY good idea. The Boss has been the Yanks' leader for three decades, and he DEFINITELY deserves a plaque. He is probably the most recognized owner of any sports franchise of all time. He is so great, he might even have a chance at the Hall of Fame. I am backin up this idea 100 trillion percent!!!
william tolliveryes me being a yankee fan for 30yrs i think it would be a great idea to have a george stienberner day as not only has he instilled a winning attitude throughout the yankee organization but through baseball period. if you ask every owner in baseball do they try to go by the book of winnig for the past 30yrs like george stienberner has the majorty would say yes.

Peter SchulzeA perfect gesture in the Stadium's final year. Great idea.
AnonymousI admire Mr Steinbrenner for all he has done for charities and his yankee winning spirit!

stuart adelsbergGeorge deserves a day for his great ownership. Thanks George.
Robert BanachIt would be mu pleasure to sign this petition. I have been a Yankee fan for over 50 years, and with all Mr. Steinbrenner has done for the Yankees, as far as committment, getting quality players. and a belief that "If we don't win the World Series" our year was a failure." Also to name Legends Fiels after the "Boss" is another great tribute to the "Best Yankee Leader" we ever had !!!! Congradulations Mr. Steinbrenner, you are truly worth this "Accomplishment" from...poster on "Yankee Talk Back" YankeeFan4Ever".....

AnonymousA well-deserved honour for a much-maligned man who has always held the hopes of Yankee fans close to his heart and always endeavoured to give his best while requesting that others do the same.
Bri PatelHe deserves it

RICHARD NAPOLIA TERRIFIC IDEA!! LET'S DO IT WHILE HE'S ALIVE TO ENJOY IT!!
AnonymousABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY PLEASE DO IT. George has been fantastic. His generosity has far exceed beyond what anyone could logically expect. He has been a "Saint" for the Yankees. This great man deserves all the recognition we can give him while he still has the health to enjoy it. George M. Steinbrenner, WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Mike TeehanHe made the Yankees "THE YANKEES' again!
Derek MestreGo Big Stein!
Leigh Shaffer
Damian G.I've been a Yankee fan since the 1970 season, so I remember the dark days before The Boss bought the team. If MLB is too shortsighted to put him into the Hall Of Frame, this is the next best step.

Glen CarballoGeorge Steinbrenner is a true champion. He should without a doubt be in monument park.
Erik Shamus O'ConnorNo other owner in abseball deserves it more. What George did for his team, and the city of New York, should be recognized.
Joba ChamberlainHey, he got me a job. Whatever I can do to repay the greatest owner is sports. All hail King George!
M. PerrelliBig George is the man. He should throw out the first pitch on opening day.
